Getting ID Cards and Access to UW Facilities
You need to fill out a photo ID and Access Card request form; see Thomas Gilbert (in E-312) to get this form and the appropriate signatures. Photos are taken in I-295, which is only open ~30 min. on any given day (the schedule is posted outside I-295). You will probably want 24/7 access, which will allow you to enter the HS building on evenings and weekends. See Building Management for more information. How do get a UW ID Card Students get a Husky Card at the ID Center (ground floor of Odegaard Undergraduate Library), open Mon-Fri, 8-5. Be sure to bring legal photo identification (driver’s license, passport, state ID card). Faculty can get Husky cards at multiple locations. Several offices serve faculty, staff, affiliates, and visiting scholars, they should consult the Human Resources website. The iLab is the computer lab and lounge for BHI students. There is a lot of equipment you can use there and equipment students can check out, much of it has been generously funded by the Student Technology Fee. The iLab is located in T-227. You need an access code to get in, which you can obtain from the IT Manager at 616-0969 (office inside the iLab). Access to other offices and facilities Talk to your research advisor and Thomas Gilbert about getting keys to specific labs and offices. |
