National Library of Medicine (NLM) Training Grant Funding:Our Biomedical and Health Informatics program has a training grant from the National Library of Medicine, and therefore can offer NLM Fellowships for qualified pre-doctoral Ph.D. students or post-doctoral trainees. The duration of these fellowships is 3 years for pre-doctoral students and 2 years for post-doctoral. The fellowships include tuition, a monthly stipend, health benefits and travel expenses to the NLM training conference in the summer and AMIA conference in the fall. These fellowships require full time enrollment during the academic year and US citizenship or Resident Alien status. Also see press release for Sept, '07. Research Assistantships:Our faculty lead and participate in many research grants that included funded slots for graduate research assistantships. This type of funding provides for the vast majority of our NLM trainees' final year of dissertation work. In addition, such funding can cover our non-NLM eligible PhD and MS students. |
