Antoine Puget Completes Masters Thesis Project PDF Print E-mail

Antoine Puget is a Masters student from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and has been working on his Masters thesis with the Structural Informatics Group for the last six months.  The subject of his thesis has been to develop a symbolic-spatial query engine to deal with questions that practitioners and educators may have regarding the relative positioning of anatomical structures in the body. In anatomy, existing tools usually deal with symbolic knowledge, but there is no query processor that can access and manage spatial knowledge.  Antoine has developed such a processor.  His work has been a stride forward in creating a tool, and promises potential practical utility for biomedical and non biomedical domains.  Antoine received a Certificate of Completion for his project at the BHI End of the Year event on June 13th.
